Info: On passing my driving test in January 1970, I bought 1056 MK.

It was a twin carb saloon in Targo Purple.
It had all the early production problems of letting in water everywhere.

I had to replace an exhaust valve and remember it having the thin steel head gasket as it was high compression.

It served me very well for a couple of years until on buying a Sptfire MK2, I sold it to a work colleague.

He scrapped it very soon afterwards
