Info: My wife had a 948 coupe when I met her in 1977 ,she had bought it of someone in Frinton-on-sea with 27,000 miles on the clock in7. It had twin SU carbs, two tone grey, hard top. The registration of this car was 1393NK. It needed quiet a bit of work underneath the car so we put it in part exchange for a mini in 1983 (welding on outriggers).Always remember when wife was driving the car in Upholland up a steep hill with a hairpin bend and being an Essex girl did not shift down the gears early enough and stalled, a escort van behind us hit her and its front wing wrapped around the tyre.It took a while to find where he had hit the car a slight dink in the overriders chrome. Loved the car but to small for our needs then. Sorry to say seen it 3 weeks later on top of pile of scrap cars.
