Additional Information: Is this your car? Tell us about it!
My first car was a, 948cc 2 door SALOON.
Colour was standard coffee, (awful colour on reflection.)
First Registration was I think 1959.
I was 19 at the time.
It cost me £130.
The car was by that time very well used.
I bought it in BIRKENHEAD, THE WIRRAL. in April 1968.
Scrapped in Plymouth, November 1970.

Info: I have to say that I remember the car with great affection even after all these years.
As does my wife, (my then girlfriend), we share untold happy memories of us in that car, It still comes up in conversation to this day, the thousands of miles we travelled in it, we were then in the Marines and the car regularly travelled 6-700 miles a weekend, to and from Plymouth where we were then stationed, to the Wirral, not to mention the pub crawls around Dartmoor and Cornwall with a gang of our friends, (carefree days), except when it broke down. One of the beauties of the car was that it was easy to fix it, and believe me I spent a lot of time fixing it, from trunnions to drive shafts coming loose.
It finally gave up the ghost (engine blew up) as I was travelling to Poole in Dorset prior to embarking to go abroad, it was due to be laid up at home, on the wirral the next weekend, to await my return for the next 18 months, and I was stuck for time, so unfortunately I had to sell for scrap in Plymouth.
