Info: I don't know if it is off any interest but I have attached some pics of a 948 which I owned circa 1968. unfortunatly for you there is a mug shot of the writer posing in both! Due to youthful driving tendancies I had to buy and fit a secondhand bonnet and the second pic shows the resprayed bonnet. Incredibly I have only just noticed the missing wing mirrors and the incorrect placement of the radiator grille!!! must have had other things on my mind in those days!

Yes the outriggers had to be replaced plus head gasket and I fitted a wooden dash from a scrap yard, not exactly original is it. I traded it in for a 1966 1200 Reg LYX 522D, how come I still remember these details its a mystery!
