Info: My parents’ first car, in around the mid-1960’s (I was an early teenager at the time) was a Triumph Herald S. The registration number was 993HFJ. It was Lichfield Green. It would have been in the name of Stanley A Rowbottom. The DVLA website does not now have any record of it so I do not know what happened to it after they part-exchanged it for another Triumph Herald, this time 1200 Saloon, which I subsequently bought off them in 1970. I do recall that that one was gun metal grey in colour but have forgotten the registration number! I went on to own another triumph herald 1200 saloon and then a 13/60 which I again purchased off my parents in 1974 selling it in 1976.

I am now the proud owner of a 1963 Triumph Herald 1200 saloon, reg no. UFX417
