Info: I used to own the above Herald 948cc manufactured in 1959 and registered January 1st 1960. It was a light green, similar to BMC Almond Green, with red upholstery . It suffered from typical problems of the early Herald. A broken front stub axle and a diff shaft. I sold it to a dealer in part exchange for a Mini. I expect it has been scrapped long ago, but it will forever live in my memory as my first car; my wife’s memory of my sitting on the bonnet when I first asked her out. I later traded the mini in for a Vitesse 2 litre MKII which I owned for many years before upgrading to a TR7. I still own a Triumph – a 1981 TR7 Coupé.
