Additional Information: Is this your car? Tell us about it!
Difficult to tell if this particular coupe is still around. It IS still actively registered with the DVLA, which suggests it is. However the database has not been updated for a while.
I have included it in the remaining/surviving coupes as the DVLA believe its still around. |

Info:
Just come across an advert in a magazine from 1992 for a 1959 Coupe described as "earliest surviving"
The advert reads:
Registration: JSK 841
Coupe 1959. Smooth roof, 1200 Spitfire engine, stored ten years, reliable, solid, scruffy interior, earliest surviving unique.
Bill Davies "I went to see this one after seeing that advert, the first Coupe I ever drove. It was near Peckham as I remember. Nice and original bodily, I didn't buy it as I couldn't sell my other car quickly enough. The next owner mildly customised it. It was quite early, May 1959 from memory."
If it was from May 1959 it would be Y676 - Y691. Amazingly only 16 were made that month!!
