I believe I still have some of the service books for these cars, together with the daily log my father used to keep of both fuel used and journies undertaken! on top of this lot I bought as my first car, A Triumph Herald Coupe, UNR851(Liester Reg) while I was at college in 1968, not new, it was in Coffee over Cream, (Yuk now!!) I sold it to my first real Girlfriend, (Wish I still had both!) in 1970 and then bought a Triumph Vitesse, VVL986, 1600cc in Light over Dark Blue, one hell of a car, I changed the engine to a two litre version that I removed from a Standard Vanguard! awsome! I had that for quite a number of years. Some of the aformentioned are still on the road, the Reg no TVL77 I once saw on a Mercedes inLincoln.

Info: Hi there, an interesting web site! my interest in Heralds started when I was eleven years old in 1959 when my late Father bought his first NEW car since the end of WW2, a green and white Herald Saloon, 948cc, PFE610, brilliant car, always remember crying and kissing the steering wheel when he sold it after one year! he then continued to buy a new Herald every year for the next eight years until West's of Lincoln, The Standard Triumph Dealership lost the agency and went to Renault. The cars my Father had were as follows, I have by the way, a very good memory for registration details!
Herald Saloon, RVL693, Black/White, 948cc
Herald Saloon, TVL77, White 1200
Herald Saloon, VFE999, Dark Blue/Light Blue, 1200
Herald Saloon, BVL511C, Olive/Cactus, 1200, (Passed my Driving test in that one!)
Herald Saloon, DVL405D, Royal Blue, 1200
Herald saloon, GFE75F, White, 1200
Herald Saloon, HVL913G,Blue, (I think), 1200
