Additional Information: I have just bought a 948 herald from an old manager of mine. It was origonally registered as 768 AAA but this mark was transfered in 1989 and was re-registered as ALC 184A.
Then in 1994 it was again re-registered to the mark it carries now RFF 162.
The date of 1st registration is 9th of September 1960 and the chassis number is G53829, its in quite good condition for its age, there are a couple of jobs to do to get it back on the road but the biggest job is going to be removing the green hamerite paint that someone has hand painted over the original green colour.
It now resides in dry storage in Enfield North London but hopefully soon be back on the road. |
