Of course I knew nothing of its history then, I just wanted a coupe and was disappointed it was so rough, but they were rare even in 1978, so was glad to get it.
There was no headlining or carpet and only some trim. The dashboard had been 'upgraded' to a wooden one, seats & doors replaced and the engine changed for a later one. The bonnet must have suffered at some time because it's purple under the paint. Everywhere else the car was originally blue, even the bootlid (until a few years ago when a lady in a megane drove into the back so that's now unoriginal too). Strangely the front valance has survived but the others are all GRP which is fine for my purposes. No trace of that sunvisor!
