Info: In May 1965 I purchased my first 948 Triumph Herald Saloon registration YHX 293 it was in green (possibly olive and had the most uncomfortable seats I have ever experienced.
When I bought it second hand it had twin downdraught carburettors and a modified exhaust manifold with a straight through silencer. It was extremely noisy. I refitted a standard manifold and exhaust along with a single Solex carb.
I ran this car for about two years until the big ends went so I px’d it for a Morris Oxford (upmarket or what?)
