Stirling Stuff
Latest gem to be unearthed in the search for 948s is a Litchfield Green and Sebring White Coupe Y685.
Specially marked in the build registers (names and dealers were only really marked in the despatch records) for a Mr S Moss!
Could this have been a Stirling Moss owned car I wonder?
Probably.
He got a speeding ticket in "his" Herald coupe in the Mersey Tunnel after the British GP at Aintree - "who do you think you are, sonny? Stirling Moss?"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I assumed it was a publicity loan car, but perhaps not..... Mike Costigan

With the exception of the two period tuned cars from adverts the remaining cars are still about.
In addition to the numberplated cars:
Y7524L a Blue and White Coupe has an image from New Zealand, still exists - but waiting to be restored.
60HERALD Immaculate Coupe from Canada
An unknown New Zealand picture for a Coupe marked 1961
1200 coupes have come to light:

8370 MU
and 2 saloons - a distinctive pink and white XFO 908, with small side lights and WSY 874, which Im guessing is a 1200
Can anyone confirm?
